Delay the tax on employment passed in 2009
Although the objective of fixing the Unemployment Trust Fund was
commendable, the 2009 changes constitute a $500 million dollar tax increase on
the business community at a time when most are struggling to stay in the black.
Furthermore, the increases do not begin to rectify the problem. Consequently,
the increases need to be delayed to protect Indiana businesses from tax
increases during this recovery period.
