The Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act is scheduled to expire on September 30, 2009.  This comes at a time when critical infrastructure projects are in progress in our region.  The US Department of Transportation estimates that 47,000 jobs are created for every $1 Billion invested in road projects.  Our Regional Chambers want to ensure not only that Federal Investment in Highways continues, but is increased to address the needs of our region.
