We support alternative energy and energy independence for America.  However, we believe the provisions of the Cap & Trade Legislation, Renewable Portfolio Standard and other similar measures are harmful to our region’s economy.

• Oppose legislation that funds alternative energy at the expense of Indiana and Michigan economies.
• Promote technological growth and development and the ultimate deployment of the alternative resources – including nuclear, biofuel, and clean-coal technologies.
• Reduce barriers to development of alternative energy technologies.
• Promote energy efficiency.
